Getting started with HOLOFIT
- HOLOFIT is a VR Fitness app available worldwide on the Meta Quest Store.

- You can always try HOLOFIT for 7 days with the free trial (included in each plan), or use it in the demo version, which is limited in time and content.

Account & Payment
- The HOLOFIT membership includes the current content and fitness offer, as well as the monthly content, fitness, and feature updates and upgrades. There are two plans:
– Monthly: 11.99 USD
– Yearly: 83.99 USD

Fitness machines
- All bikes, ellipticals, and rowers work with HOLOFIT.Rowing machines:
1. All FTMS-Bluetooth enabled rowers should directly connect to HOLOFIT. Some of the rowing machines we have tested and know work with HOLOFIT include the Concept 2 PM5, WaterRower with the SmartRow add-on (SmartRow app needed), WaterRower with the ComModule add-on, Whipr Rowing, TechnoGym SkillRow, StairMaster HIIT Rower.
2. All other rowing machines work perfectly with HOLOFIT in the non-Bluetooth rower mode, by tracking the back-and-forth motion of the headset while rowing. Follow these steps: HOLOFIT settings > HOLOFIT Setup > Fitness machine > Non-Bluetooth rower.Bikes & ellipticals:
1. All FTMS-Bluetooth enabled bikes and ellipticals should directly connect to HOLOFIT.
2. All other bikes and wheel-based ellipticals connect directly to HOLOFIT with the addition of a cadence sensor, that is usually attached to the pedal crank. Cadence sensors only work with bikes and ellipticals. - How to use my non-Bluetooth rower?
- How to connect my cadence sensor or Bluetooth machine to HOLOFIT?
- Yes! You can use HOLOFIT Freestyle for no-equipment bodyweight workouts only with your Meta Quest: running, rowing, cycling, skiing, and Combo Workouts. During your HOLOFIT setup, simply select Freestyle Controllers. Before each HOLOFIT workout, you’ll choose between running, rowing, cycling, and skiing.In the Train menu, you’ll find Combo Workouts which combine the above-mentioned sports with intermittent activities such as boxing, squats, and more. You’ll start in one sport, reach a platform where you’ll have to complete a series of tasks, and then continue in another Freestyle sport.Just be sure to take proper form, read more about that here.
Companion App
- HOLOFIT Companion is your ultimate fitness companion: it saves your HOLOFIT workouts, follows your progression through various levels, ranks you on the global leader board, sends your workout data to Strava and Apple Health/Google Fit, lets you manage the daily and monthly challenges from your phone, and lets you engage with other members of the HOLOFIT community.You can download it for free and log in with your existing HOLOFIT account on Google Play and the App Store.Click here to read more about the Companion App.
- How to change units?
- Head over to Settings, where you will see the option to connect to Strava, Google Fit, or Apple Health.
- Manage your challenges in the app, scroll through the ones you’ve completed, and check out all the points you’ve received. When you finish a challenge, download your certificate straight from the app and share it with your friends.
- You can customize your character by going to Settings > My VR avatar.
Hardware compatibility
- Below is the list of cadence sensors that have been tested and known to connect to HOLOFIT.
- Garmin Cadence Sensor 2
- Magene Cadence Sensor (Gemini 210, S3+)
- Wahoo Cadence Sensor
- FitCare Cadence Sensor
*Cadence sensors only work with bikes and ellipticals. Cadence sensors don’t work with rowing machine.**If your sensor is dual with both cadence and speed, ensure that it is in the cadence mode. - The FiTness Machine Service protocol, better known as FTMS, is the latest Bluetooth standard used to control fitness equipment including ellipticals, training bikes, and rowing machines.
To check if your machine has FTMS Bluetooth, check the user manual of your machine, Bluetooth information is usually under Specifications or Connectivity.
Below is the list of fitness machines that have been tested and known to connect to HOLOFIT through FTMS Bluetooth.- Concept 2 PM5

NOTE: All unchanged, standardized FTMS Bluetooth machines should work with HOLOFIT. However, we can’t guarantee this as machine manufacturers often make some changes to the Bluetooth profile. If you’re not sure if your machine would work, please email support@holodia.com who will have more precise information.
- The latest HOLOFIT version is available on the Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, Meta Quest 3, and Meta Quest 3S.

- Yes! Our online multiplayer lets you train with or compete against other HOLOFIT members from all around the world – as long as they playing in the same sport.If you want to compete with your friend who is also a HOLOFIT member, agree on a date and time, and start an online multiplayer competition together!
- Yes!We recommend attaching a washable VR cover on your headset. You can wipe the cover after each use, and wash it in the machine every once in a while.You can find the cover that suits your headset at https://vrcover.com/, we always recommend using one of the foam VR covers for fitness. You can also find a large selection of replaceable VR covers on Amazon.If your headset gets wet, just dry it off with a soft cloth. Do not touch the lenses unless dirty, and only with a clean and dry cloth. Alternatively, wearing a thin headband under the headset helps absorb the sweat.
- No! Our members regularly use HOLOFIT for even half-marathons!We recommend attaching a washable VR cover on your headset. - Yes! Customizable lens adapters are available for a variety of VR headsets at a reasonable price add-on. See this example for Oculus Quest.This would help solve the problem concerning shortsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Keep in mind that astigmatism could also somewhat be solved by adjusting the eye separation for which there is a small switch on the bottom right of the VR headset.However, as the most complete solution, we suggest getting optical lens adapters according to your detailed optical prescription.
