But don’t get too distracted by the beauty of the gate just yet—watch where you are going or you’ll end up like the two carts led by donkeys that have tangled themselves up in a bit of chaos. Don’t worry, they’ll figure it out soon enough. Keep going, Babylon awaits!

As you approach the Ishtar Gate, something curious catches your eye. Is that… the grandma from the Paris HOLOworld? She’s riding a camel, waving at you. Could it really be her? It’s hard to tell with all this sand in the air. But there’s no time to dwell on that, because the Babylonian army is already marching past you, a regiment on their morning patrol, ensuring everything in the city is running smoothly.

When you step through the gate, the vibrant sights and sounds of Mushkenum City unfold. This is the heart of Babylon, where the common folk go about their day. The lively marketplace is full of unusual assortments of goods—oh, and a mysterious orange powder that might just have some magical properties (it’s rumored to be able to transport you to the Troglodyte HOLOworld, but maybe you should hold off inhaling it just yet). Explore the vibrant streets, meet the city’s fishmonger, the local poets and jugglers, and maybe even get your next outfit from the renowned Babylonian seamstress.

But Babylon has more secrets than meet the eye. As you wander deeper into the city, you’ll find hidden party tunnels, where the music never stops, and the creatures lurking there are even wilder than the celebrations themselves.

Explore every alleyway, because at every turn, there’s something new—whether it’s the chance to witness a group of scholars debating under the warm Mesopotamian sun or the sight of a lamassu (a protective deity depicted as a hybrid winged creature) ascending the towering Ziggurat.
